And on September 21st she tweeted a statement saying that she and her husband are planning to reconcile for the sake of their children.
Although the couple now live in Oxshott in Surrey, Jamie Redknapp’s most prolific period of his footballing career came during his eleven years with Liverpool, and he and Louise previously shared his bachelor pad on the city’s Albert Dock.
Three years with Tottenham Hotspur weren’t enough to dispel Jamie’s Liverpool links, but if this summer’s headlines are to be believed, he may make a return to the bachelor lifestyle in the not too distant future.
After an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing and with an upcoming pop tour and theatrical stage appearances, Louise is reportedly finding a new lease of life – and one that leaves little room for her husband of nearly 20 years.
Some unsubstantiated headlines have even claimed that the singer is seeking a quickie divorce.
The tabloids have been poring over every detail of the Rooneys’ marriage since the start of September, when Wayne Rooney was arrested on a charge of drink-driving with a female passenger, while Coleen Rooney and the couple’s three children were on holiday.
His arrest came just a week after Wayne announced his retirement from international football, and while the press have reported that Coleen is at the end of her tether, she took to Twitter to say: “Would love to meet all these so called friends of mine who know me so well,” adding: “I was being sarcastic towards all these great sources the press have… who I have probably never met in my life!”
